One of PlayStation’s most exciting titles in recent years is Insomniac Games’ Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Following the success of the original, the upcoming sequel sees Peter Parker and Miles Morales take on new foes including Kraven the Hunter and Venom.
Earlier this year, it was announced that the long-awaited sequel will arrive in 2023. At the moment, the makers haven’t specified any dates. However, industry insiders and Venom voice actor Tony Todd suggests the game might arrive in September.
With the game reportedly less than six months away from release, it’s pretty likely the developers at Insomniac Games are on the final stretch, as they make sure the game comes out on time.
One of the game’s most important aspect is the voice acting and motion capture for the various characters. This includes Peter Parker, who is voiced and played by actor Yuri Lowenthal.
In a recent Reddit AMA, Yuri Lowenthal answered questions regarding past, present and future projects, with the latter including upcoming games like Homestead Arcana, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
When asked about his work for the Insomniac Games sequel, Lowenthal confirmed that he’s pretty much done with it, as he’s finished with voice acting and motion capture for Peter Parker.
In the end, the hype for the game continues to rise tremendously, and fans can’t wait to hear more through trailers, stills and new footage in the months leading up to its release.
