What are three essential items in your wardrobe? A perfect white T-shirt, a statement blazer in either a bright colour or with an interesting detail, and vintage baggy jeans. Denim only gets better with time and I love to think about the history of where they’ve been and who wore them.

Any go-to jewellery? A Tiffany HardWear gold chain.

Can you remember a favourite outfit from when you were a child? I was very much the kid who would wear a tulle tutu over ripped jeans. My style is still like that: something ultra-feminine with something boyfriendy.

And your worst fashion mistake? Wearing layered, see-through lace undergarments. Or dropped-crotch baggy pants that are tight at the hem.

What was your first fashion moment? When I stopped buying things to keep up with trends and started buying less and buying well. I get so much joy from saving up for something I love. I build my wardrobe from a sustainability perspective now; I only add to it when I know it’s something I am going to have forever.

What’s at the top of your wish list? A Haulier suede tote.

Is there a current trend you like? The 1990s; it’s the era I grew up in.

Is there anything you would never wear? Fast fashion.

What shoes do you wear most often? I’m shoe-obsessed: Chanel ballet flats and Céline sneakers from the Phoebe Philo era.

Who’s your favourite fashion icon? It’s hard to narrow it down to one person; my icons are amalgamations of characters from my favourite films, like Robin Wright from Message in a Bottle, Melanie Griffith in Working Girl and Demi Moore in Indecent Proposal.

What do you wear on a typical working day? Oversized boyfriend trousers, a fitted white singlet and a statement blazer.

What’s your favourite off-duty, casual Sunday look? Slouchy jeans, a singlet and sneakers.
