Kaguya-Sama and Oshi no Ko Creator Announces New Manga

Kaguya-sama: Love is War and Oshi no Ko creator Aka Akasaka has announced a new manga series.

Per MyAnimeList, the new manga, titled Renai Daikou or Love Agency, will launch in Weekly Young Jump magazine on April 27.

Since Akasaka has decided to retire from illustrating manga to focus on writing, the art for Love Agency will be provided by doujin artist and VTuber, 5mm Nishizawa.

Akasaka revealed that they had been “quietly” working on this project for a while. No further details about the story have been announced yet.

Akasaka’s previous works, Kaguya-Sama: Love is War and Oshi no Ko, have both been wildly popular with fans. Kaguya-Sama: Love is War follows two high school students who are secretly in love with each other, but are too proud to confess their feelings. The series has been adapted into multiple anime seasons, and the manga has sold millions of copies worldwide.

Oshi no Ko, Akasaka’s latest work, is a psychological thriller that explores the dark side of the entertainment industry. The manga is very popular, and its premiere episode of the anime has received rave reviews, and it even shot up to the first rank of the top anime series on MyAnimeList.
