And before going into the new episodes, the fandom is wondering about this new intimidating character and what his role will be in the future of the series. Let’s explore everything important we know about him.
Toji Fushiguro’s Debut In The Series
The first episode of Jujutsu Kaisen season two revolved a lot around Master Tengen, Star Religious Group, and Star Plasma Vessel. Continuing the discussion around these topics, the end part of the episode saw an attack on Rika Orimato, Suguru Geto, and Gojo by a group named Q. Then, we were introduced to a man named Shui Kong, talking to a man he addressed as “Zenin.”
Shui asked him if he would join them in the assassination of the Star Plasma Vessel. The man is revealed to be Toji Fushiguro, who corrects Shui, stating that he is no longer a Zenin, as he took his wife’s surname, and now he must be addressed as Fushiguro. The episode ended with Toji accepting the assassination offer, ensuring his assistance in killing the Star Plasma Vessel. Toji is revealed as a tall figure with a muscular build and dark-black hair of mid-length. His very appearance indicates that he is not a good sign for the Jujutsu Sorcerers and would pose a threat to Gojo and his mates.
Things You Didn’t Know About Toji Fushiguro
Toji Fushiguro, a pivotal character in Jujutsu Kaisen, holds a significant connection to both the Fushiguro and Zenin families. Surprisingly, despite being related to Maki and Mei, Toji has never crossed paths with them in person. Working as a contract assassin, Toji undertakes lethal assignments to sustain himself financially. Remarkably, he manages to live a life of luxury until his funds run dry, thanks to his successful contract jobs.
From an early age, Toji found himself at odds with the Zenin Family, prompting him to adopt the surname Fushiguro. His extraordinary powers and reputation as an assassin earned him the moniker of “Sorcerer Killer,” positioning him as the primary antagonist of Gojo’s Past Arc. As the second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will unfold further, we will learn more about Toji and see his remarkable abilities as he fights Gojo.
Toji Fushiguro’s Abilities Explained
Despite lacking the ability to wield sorcery, Toji Fushiguro emerged as one of the strongest characters in the series. His strength lay in his exceptional intellect and the deep knowledge of the Jujutsu Sorcery and curses. With this knowledge, he devised cunning strategies to overpower and defeat skilled sorcerers.
Due to the lack of sorcery, Toji uses normal weapons to fight his opponents, which ultimately benefits him. As his weapons lack Cursed Energy, they remain undetected by the barriers and sorcery, facilitating him in the battle. Similarly, his body also lacks Cursed Energy, which allows him to move in and out of the barriers. Toji has a long list of deadly arsenal that he uses in battle, and he keeps them inside a Cursed Spirit.
