iPhone: Halide iPhone camera app has come to the iPad – Times of India

Halide, one of the most popular camera apps on the iPhone, has launched on the iPad too. The iPadOS version of the camera app has been redesigned keeping in mind the bigger screen of the iPad. So, Halide for iPadOS comes with a new UI altogether with a new Pro View option to facilitate taking pictures on your iPad.
As per the company, you need to tap the shrinking icon in the bottom left, and the viewfinder will scale down to a smaller size to judge composition. With the space that’s left, you can make use of the pro tools in the app like the colour waveform and histogram, manual focus or even manual shutter and ISO controls. The interfaces won’t cover the image at all and you will be able to view your compositions in a smaller size on the iPad.
The app comes with intuitive gestures, like new Edge gestures to switch between modes. The app comes with a Tactile Touch feature to enable and disable focus and exposure aids as you need them. There are three new custom typefaces too. With the iPadOS Halide app, it is possible to assign the whole user interface to either the left or right side of the display.
The developers say that they have “placed critical controls on the left and right edges, so you can tap with your thumbs without losing your grip. The new Honeycomb interface gives you controls right next to the shutter button”.
Bearing a file size of 19.7MB, the app on iPad requires iPadOS 13.0 or later and on the iPhone and the iPod touch, it requires iOS 13.0 or later. The app offers a 7-day free trial for annual memberships.
