Kafka Ascension Materials

Kafka is an upcoming 5-Star Lightning character following the Nihility Path. She will most likely take on the role of a Support character, as the Nihility Path applies debuffs to enemies to make them easier to finish off. Here are all the materials you will need for Kafka for each level ascension:

• 10x Thief’s Instinct

Level 40 To Level 50 Ascension Materials

Level 50 To Level 60 Ascension Materials

• 7x Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff

Level 60 To Level 70 Ascension Materials

Where To Find Kafka Ascension Materials

Now that we’ve gone over all the materials you will need to ascend Kafka, you’ll need to find these items in the game. These will require you to explore, complete quests, and take on challenges. Here’s where you can find each required item.

Where To Find Thief’s Instinct, Usurper’s Scheme, & Conqueror’s Will

There are quite a few different ways you can get your hands on these three character ascension materials. To start, you can take on Antimatter Legion enemies, which you can easily find on Herta Space Station, especially in the Storage Zone. They will appear like the second image above, either as a human-like figure or a floating, purple sphere. Some of the name of the enemies includes Stormbringer, Voidranger: Distorter, Voidranger: Eliminator, Baryon, and more.

You’ll also find that some enemies in the Simulated Universe will drop this material. This will be a more inconsistent method, however, as it’s not guaranteed you will get these materials rather than other ascension materials. You can also get these from Assignment Rewards, which you can find on your phone. Under the Character Materials section, choose ‘Destruction of the Destroyer’ to get Thief’s Instinct rewards.

You can also visit the Embers Exchange store, where you can purchase a set of 3 Thief’s Instincts for 4 Undying Embers each. Finally, the last method for getting this material is through the Omni-Synthesizer’s Material Exchange. If you use this, you will need to provide other character ascension materials to convert them into Thief’s Instinct or Usurper’s Scheme.

Where To Find Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff

Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff is a character ascension material obtained from Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Doom. You can find this challenge in Stargazer Navalia, a region in The Xianzhou Luofu. When you take this challenge on, you will need at least 30 Trailblaze Power. Some of the enemies you take on will have Lightning or Wind Resistance, so make sure to bring a team member outside these types.

You can also get Shape Shifter’s Lightning Staff from the Omni-Synthesizer’s Material Exchange. Again, in order to use this, you will have to give up other character ascension materials, such as Endotherm Chitin, Gelid Chitin, and more.

Where To Find Credits

Credits are the common currency in Honkai Star Rail, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble finding this item for your Kafka ascension. In general, you can get Credits from missions, Assignment Rewards (specifically ‘The Invisible Hand’ Assignment), and the Calyx (Golden): Bud of Treasures challenge found in the Great Mine region of Jarilo-IV.
