At the Xbox Developer_Direct showcase, the popular gaming brand dropped a surprise launch in the form of Tango Gameworks’ Hi-Fi Rush.
The rhythm action-adventure game came out flying as an Xbox Game Pass Day 1 launch. Furthermore, the title also dropped for PC on Steam as well. And it seems like the gaming community has taken quite the liking towards it.
Despite the sudden launch, gamers have flocked towards storefronts to experience the game’s campy nature filled with cartoonish animations, banging tunes to get your rhythm on, and more.
And the game has become so popular on the PC side of things that it has somehow grabbed more eyeballs than some of the big releases of the week. This includes Square Enix’s latest AAA title, Forspoken.
At the time of writing, Hi-Fi Rush has grabbed the #9 spot on the Top Currently Global Selling Steam Games from SteamDB with a peak player count of 5131. On the other hand, Forspoken is ranked at #102, and has a peak player count of 4347.
While Hi-Fi Rush seems to have gotten on the right side of the gaming community, the same can’t be said about Forspoken. The game has received mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, with many disappointed by the game’s dialogues and story. In the end, it looks like Square Enix might have not gotten the hit that the publishers were expecting.
