Halo Infinite release date: Here’s when Microsoft will launch its ‘most-popular’ game – Times of India

Halo Infinite, the next title of Microsoft’s two decade old franchise, finally has an official launch date. Microsoft, at the Gamescom Opening Night Live show, dropped a massive piece of news for all Halo fans out there.
Not only the company announced the official launch date of the Halo Infinite as December 8, it also dropped the Season One Cinematic Intro trailer of the game. Microsoft earlier planned to launch the game alongside Xbox Series X|S gaming consoles. However, it got delayed due to the ongoing pandemic situation. The game was then slated for release later this year which seems to be finally happening.
Also, we have been told that the game will only feature Campaign and multiplayer game modes at the launch and won’t feature the already popular campaign co-op mode and Forge game
modes.
As mentioned, the company has also dropped the first season multiplayer cinematic trailer that shows a futuristic universe where Spartans, a group of futuristic soldiers can be seen saving humans. As per XDA Developer’s report, the game won’t feature a co-op, campaign or forge mode.
Along with that the company also announced a Halo-themed Xbox console and controller to celebrate the 20 years anniversary of the Halo franchise. The limited-edition console and controller are now available to pre-order.
