Groupize Adds Pharma Compliance Mtg. Module

Event management platform Groupize has added a tracking and reporting module for pharmaceutical and medical-device professionals to its meetings management platform, the company announced Tuesday.

Dubbed HCP Digital Sign-In, the module allows medical-device professionals and pharmaceutical representatives to “maintain compliance” with U.S. federal Open Payments regulations, formerly known as the Sunshine Act, which requires that certain payments or transfers of value made to physicians, teaching hospitals and other advanced practice clinicians be reported to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

The extension works across mobile devices, tablets and desktops and allows users to digitally check in to events and opt in or out of meals. It also and includes real-time healthcare professional validation with direct identification and attendee tracking, according to Groupize. HCP Digital Sign-In offers e-signature capabilities and QR-code functionality for HCP validation, and includes SAP Concur Expense import features. The module also allows users to engage through virtual and in-person events, such as clinical trials, continuous education and teambuilding, according to Groupize.

“Our aim is to continue to provide and expand upon our cutting-edge solutions that simplify event management while ensuring efficiency and compliance,” Groupize CCO Charles de Gaspe Beaubien said in a statement.

The news follows the launch of Groupize’s payment tracking and expense reconciliation function for users, announced in August.
