HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact will receive an update in its Elemental Resonance system with Version 3.0. Elemental Resonance is a system in Genshin Impact that aids in combat. When there are two members of the same element in a party, Elemental Resonance grants buffs to the player.
The Soothing Water and High Voltage buffs, corresponding to the Hydro and Electro elements respectively, will receive updates as well as a new Dendro element resonance called Sprawling Greenery will be added in Version 3.0.
The developers officially announced the details of the changes to Elemental Resonance on their forum HoYoLAB:
- New Dendro Elemental Resonance “Sprawling Greenery”: Elemental Mastery increased by 50. After triggering Burning, Quicken, or Bloom reactions, all nearby party members gain 30 Elemental Mastery for 6s. After triggering Aggravate, Spread, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions, all nearby party members gain 20 Elemental Mastery for 6s. The durations of the aforementioned effects will be counted independently.
- Hydro Resonance “Soothing Water” is adjusted to: “Affected by Pyro for 40% less time. Increases Max HP by 25%.”
- Electro Resonance “High Voltage” is adjusted to: “Affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Superconduct, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Quicken, Aggravate, or Hyperbloom have a 100% chance to generate an Electro Elemental Particle (CD: 5s).”
The Electro Resonance only adds the Dendro reactions to generate an Electro Elemental Particle every five seconds, which isn’t considered very useful by players, especially when the game has Fervent Flames which increases ATK by 25% if you have two Pyro members in your party. This was HoYoverse’s chance to finally make the Electro Resonance useful, where they could have updated it to increase Energy Recharge just like Hydro Elemental Resonance is adjusted to increase HP.
The new adjustments will make their way to Genshin Impact on August 24 when the Version 3.0 update goes live.
