Fortnite DOWN – How long are servers offline for update 27.11 maintenance

Fortnite fans are currently unable to play Creative and Battle Royale, as Epic takes the game offline for extended maintenance as part of the launch of update 27.11. Coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox consoles, Nintendo Switch, Android and PC, update 27.11 will be available to download on the morning of November 21. It will be accompanied by a period of server downtime, which means you won’t be able to play Fortnite for at least a couple of hours. If you want to know when you can log back into Fortnite, check out the 27.11 server downtime schedule below.

The news was announced by Epic Games on Twitter, alongside details on when servers will be taken offline for maintenance.

“Downtime for v27.11 begins at 4 AM ET with matchmaking being disabled shortly beforehand,” reads an Epic tweet.

For UK fans, this means that Fortnite will be taken offline in full at 9am GMT, while matchmaking will be disabled at 8.30am.

Epic hasn’t revealed exactly when downtime will come to an end, but maintenance typically lasts for around a couple of hours.

This means Fortnite should be back online by 11am GMT UK time at the latest.

While the update will be available to download on the morning of November 21, the Season 9 and X hotfix won’t actually go live until November 23.

The Season 9 and X hotfix will bring back weapons like the Heavy Sniper Rifle, Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, and Junk Rift.

That’s on top of the Storm Flip and Jetpack, the latter of which was used in the Season 9 event. Finally, Epic will bring back The Baller vehicle.

The November 21 update will also add the files for the big end of season event, plus new item shop skins.
