If you’ve been playing Exoprimal, you’ve probably run into a Carnotaurus and seen how much destruction it can wreak. These devilish-looking dinosaurs can be the stuff of nightmares if left unchecked, so it’s best to be prepared for when they inevitably rear their ugly horned-heads.
Despite their strength and speed, the Carnotaurus can be easily dealt with under the right circumstances. With this guide, we’ll teach you how to show it the door back into extinction.
Carnotaurus Move List
Since Exoprimal allows players to control dinosaurs, it’s best to know exactly what the Carnotaurus can do. If you want to know in what circumstances players can control the Carnotaurus, I recommend checking out our Dominator guide. Here’s the Carnotaurus’ move list:

Countering the Carnotaurus
The easiest way to kill the Carnotaurus is to use Skywave’s Ultimate, De-synchronize. If you have your Overdrive charged and no one on your team is swapping when Leviathan announces it’s giving the enemy team a Dominator, you should swap to Skywave just so you can safely deal with the Carnotaurus. If this is not an option for one reason or another, swap to Roadblock and soak up as much of the dinosaur’s attacks as you can. This way you waste both the Dominator’s time and protect the objective.
Once your team has the opportunity, focus fire on the Carnotaurus’ head to maximize damage. Using a damage-dealing ultimate like Deadeye’s Cluster Salvo or Krieger’s Todesregen should be more than enough to melt through its HP bar.
When you’re looking at the Carnotaurus, try to stay in front of its head on your left side. From the Carnotaurus’ point of view, its Thrust starts on its left side, and it’s obnoxious to aim against opponents who are constantly circling to its right. Gnash is its only option in this scenario, which is preferable when compared to taking a hit from Thrust.
If the Carnotaurus rears its head back and roars, that means it’s using its Overdrive attack. This is a linear charge attack with limited turning ability. Unless you’re Roadblock, stop what you’re doing and get out of the way. If this is aimed at the Datakey, it’s better to accept that it’s going to get charged than to take an excessive amount of damage and then watch the Carnotaurus crash into your Datakey anyway. Roadblock becomes invaluable here because he can block some of the Charge’s damage for his team.
