Evolution Championship Series (EVO) Makes In-Person Return in Las Vegas…Without the Plastic Water Bottles

The world’s most storied fighting game championship made it’s in-person return in Las Vegas this weekend, leaving the plastic water bottle behind. Denver-based FloWater announced today that new-tech FloWater Refill Stations in place at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino to hydrated 10,000 fighting game competitors and fans at the Evolution Championship Series (known as Evo).

In addition to reducing plastic waste and providing ultra-purified drinking water, the 45 FloWater Refill Stations on site at the Bayside Exhibit Hall and Michelob ULTRA Arena at the Mandalay Bay have the latest ‘touchless’ foot pedal technology, making for safer, more sanitary drinking water.

The Las Vegas event in August from August 5-7 will bring together more than 7,000 competitors from 63 countries to compete in combination of new and returning fighting games, including:

  • MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA – PS4 (Project LUMINA)
  • DRAGON BALL FighterZ – PS4 (BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment)
  • Granblue Fantasy: Versus – PS4 (Cygames and XSEED)
  • Skullgirls: 2nd Encore – PS4 (Autumn Games)

In addition to the Evolution Championship Series, major events that FloWater hydrates include the CrossFit Games, Coachella, LiveNation, Rose Bowl Stadium, Vans U.S. Open of Surfing and the Aspen X Games.
