Elden Ring: Bandai Namco Teases a Possible DLC For The Game

Elden Ring publisher, Bandai Namco, has teased a possible return to The Lands Between. The title released in February 2022, and since then, DLC content has been the topic of much speculation.

Fans of the game will be delighted to read what the publisher had to say regarding the game’s future. In an announcement celebrating Elden Ring selling 20 million units, Bandai Namco dropped some hints confirming that more future content is on the way.

“Combining the development capabilities of FromSoftware and the marketing power of Bandai Namco Entertainment’s overseas network, this title has been supported by fans since its release on February 25, 2022, and has shipped more than 20 million units worldwide to date,” the statement reads.

“It has also received various awards, including ‘Game of the Year’ at ‘The Game Awards 2022.’ The company thanked every player, who has played the game from the bottom of their hearts and as they promise to continue develop various ways for the fans to enjoy the world of ‘ELDEN RING’ in the future.”

Elden Ring has been so popular since launch, even without receiving any additional story DLCs. However, game creator Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that more content for the game could be coming, adding that there are “several more things we want to do.”

Most recently, Elden Ring also took home the Game of the Year 2022 award, along with wins in four other categories at the DICE Awards ceremony. It also won two awards at the New York Game Awards 2023.

The community of the game is also very active, with many mods, streamer challenges and so on coming out even a year after release.
