EA Sports FC 24 Adds Women’s Soccer Stars To Ultimate Team

EA Sports has unveiled a trove of new details for EA Sports FC 24–the first game under the longtime soccer franchise’s new name. With the new moniker comes new ways to experience fan-favorite modes, with one major addition being women’s players to Ultimate Team.

The official reveal livestream for EA Sports FC 24 saw English national champion Leah Williamson announce the news. The stream went on to confirm players will be able to build teams with both men’s and women’s soccer stars–both current and historical–on the pitch at the same time.

The livestream also presented EA Sports FC 24’s technical improvements, which includes new HyperMotion V technology devised using data from 180 real-world teams to “reflect real-world movement in-game more than ever before.” Notably, the Nintendo Switch version will now run on the same Frostbite technology as its counterparts, as opposed to the “legacy versions” in previous years.

The game will feature over 700 teams from around the world, which includes teams from the English Premier League, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, and the Spanish La Liga. The livestream also confirms a new agreement between EA Sports and UEFA, which will give players access to the Champions League, Women’s Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup.

EA Sports FC 24 launches September 29 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition will receive early access on September 22.
