Electronic Arts and EA Motive announced an Iron Man game last September and now there’s a new update regarding the development of the game. Gotham Knights writer Ashley Cooper has just announced that she has joined EA Motive as a writer for Iron Man. Apart from this update, there has been very little information known about the game.
Iron Man Game Senior Writer
Ashley Cooper announced this career update on Twitter saying, “I grew up loving superheroes. My earliest writing was making my own comics in elementary school and high school.” She added, “If you told 12 year-old me that this is what I’d be doing professionally, she’d lose it. Thrilled to announce I’ve joined EA Motive as a Senior Writer on Iron Man!”
The writer contributed to the Gotham Knights’ various conversations and story including (as highlighted by ComicBook) the Belfry conversations in Gotham Knights. She wrote the dialogues where Tim comes out and discussed with the team about the idea of dating Bernard. The writer said she felt it was important to “reinforce the found family aspect of the Batfam” and also highlighted how these conversations were “dear” to her.
It remains to be seen how the new EA Motive Senior Writer will approach Iron Man. She has already highlighted how it is a dream job for her, clearly indicating her love for superheroes. Gotham Knights did not have Batman at the centre of its story as the savior, but instead his mention dealt with the legacy he has left behind. EA’s Iron Man game will be having Tony Stark right at the heart of its story and it will be interesting to see how the eccentric billionaire and Avenger will be shown in the single-player game.
