Dwayne Johnson Believes That MCU and DCEU Could Cross Paths One Day

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been growing steadily since the release of the first Iron Man film. The franchise has made a massive name for itself through superior casting, intriguing plot lines and wholesome endings. The DC Extended Universe on the other hand doesn’t seem to be at par with MCU with a couple of lackluster films that have not performed up to the mark. DCEU’s next big claim to film is Black Adam which is starring none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

In a recent interview with Total Film, Dwayne Johnson had some intriguing thoughts to share with the fans. Firstly, he spoke about DCEU’s goal to expand the universe by introducing new characters and other content. He then goes on to talk about his optimistic idea, where he states that there is a pantheon of superheroes and supervillains in DC and another set of pantheon of heroes and villains in Marvel. He feels that one day these two paths will definitely cross.

I am optimistic. Just my nature is optimistic. And especially when it comes to creative. Especially when it comes to movies. And especially when it comes to the pantheon of DC superheroes and supervillains. Across the street, we have the pantheon of superheroes and supervillains of Marvel. To me, they can not only exist, but they should, in my mind, cross paths one day.

Fans on the other hand are agreeing with the WWE superstar stating that both have their multiverses and there is always way for them to crossover. Not only that, this kind of crossover has already taken place in the past in the comics, so why can’t it happen in the cinematic universe. It is surely an exciting prospect and fans of both universe would want nothing more than the Justice League and The Avengers joining forces to take down a humongous threat. On the other hand the fans wouldn’t mind watching Superman going against Thor either.
