Cyber Heist DLC Announced for The Ascent, Steals August 18th Release Date

Curve Digital and Neon Giant have announced that The Ascent will be getting some new story DLC in the form of The Ascent: Cyber Heist, and it will be released on all platforms on August 18th.

The Ascent: Cyber Heist adds new locations, weapons, melee combat, and story content that is set after the events of the main game. Given that the DLC story missions take place after the events of the main game, you’ll need to beat The Ascent before being able to tackle the new main missions and side-quests. There is a workaround, though.

Of course, The Ascent: Cyber Heist can, just like the main game, be played solo or in co-op mode with friends. This is especially handy if you haven’t beaten the main game yet but want to try out the new content; so long as the host of the game has beaten the main story missions and has access to the DLC, all players that join the game will be able to partake, even if they themselves haven’t seen The Ascent’s ending.

The Ascent: Cyber Heist will release on August 18th for all platforms and it’ll be priced at £7.99/€9.99/$9.99. If you’ve somehow missed this cracking cyberpunk twin-stick shooter, there will be a new version of the game that packs in the DLC. The Ascent: Cyber Edition bundles the main game, the Cyber Heist DLC, and the previously released Cyber Warrior and Cyber Sec DLCs into one convenient package for the price of £36.99/€44.99/$44.99.
