Crime Patrol’s Annup Sonii completes course in crime scene investigation, calls it ‘extremely challenging’

Actor Annup Sonii has revealed that during the coronavirus lockdown, he enrolled himself in a crime scene investigation course. On Sunday, he took Instagram to share a picture of his certificate.

In the certificate, awarded by International Forensic Sciences (IFS), it was stated, “This is to certify that Mr Annup Sonii has successfully completed the Short Term Certificate Course in Crime Scene Investigation from ITS Education.”

Sharing the picture, Anuup Sonii said, “Certificate Course In Crime Scene Investigation During the recent lockdown I decided to invest my time and energy into something more constructive. Yes it was extremely challenging , going back to ‘studies of some sort.’ But definitely a choice that I am proud of.”

Anuup’s fans congratulated him as well. “Amazing sir,” wrote one. “Wow….awesome sir….besides handsome, you’re very clever too….speechless,” wrote another.

Anup is known as the host of crime series Crime Patrol on Sony Entertainment Television India. He has been with the show since 2010.

On Friday, Anuup paid tribute to his Balika Vadhu co-star Surekha Sikri, who died at the age of 75. “मासा चली गईं, अब बस यादें हैं (Maasa is gone. It’s just memories now). Rest in peace Surekha Ji, thank you for all the teachings, guidance and love. It was an honour to share screen with you for 6 long years,” he wrote with pictures from the show.

Anuup has worked on multiple television shows over the years. In an interview with Hindustan Times last year, he said, “Yes, I might think that even I can get launched as a hero, why do I keep doing character roles. If my father was a film star, even I’d have been launched as a hero, not caring how I looked. Mujhse buri shakal wale bhi hero ban rahe hain, main bhi ban sakta hoon na (People who look bad are becoming heroes. I can too). But that’s not the point. You’ve to accept the reality and work to prove your point with your work,” he had said.
