Commonwealth Games live updates: NZ track cyclists in the hunt for more medals

Follow live updates as New Zealand’s Commonwealth Games track cyclists push to secure another podium finish before the Black Ferns Sevens take on Canada in their bronze medal final.

After completing another medal haul yesterday, Team New Zealand’s athletes are set to compete in several medal events.

In track cycling, Rebecca Petch has finished forth in the women’s 500m time trial final while Callum Saunders, Sam Dakin and Sam Webster are in the midst of the men’s sprint event.

Campbell Stewart, George Jackson and Corbin Strong are set to battle it out for a spot on the podium in the men’s scratch race final at 5.42am.

Gold medal winner swimmer Lewis Clareburt returns to the pool at 6.28am to compete for another medal in the men’s 200m butterfly final.

The Black Ferns Sevens and All Black Sevens will both be heading in to their bronze medal finals wanting to salvage something from this year’s Games. The Black Ferns Sevens kick off against Canada at 6.50am while the All Blacks Sevens will line up for a trans-Tasman clash against Australia at 7.12am.
