Last month, Clubhouse started rolling out support for 13 new languages in its first wave of local language support. Now, the audio-only social networking app has announced that it is adding 13 more languages. The new languages available on the platform include Arabic, Bengali, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Farsi / Persian, Hausa, Igbo, Marathi, Nepali, Somali, Thai, Turkish and Yoruba. As of now, the new languages are only available on Android devices but the company has said that it will soon add support for iOS and additional languages soon.
Apart from the new languages, Clubhouse has announced that it is also renaming Interests feature as Topics. The company is also upgrading the feature with the latest update. Topics help you find the rooms, clubs, and people with similar passions or relevant expertise. The Topics feature is now available for both Android and iOS users.
Recently, the platform added some new features like Replays, download audio creators and more. The company also rolled out support for closed captioning. The Replay feature allows users to replay the entire experience of a live Clubhouse room including Leave Quietly, PTRs, mic taps and more. It is an optional feature that creators can choose to toggle on or off for any public room. When Replays are enabled, anyone on Clubhouse can replay the entire experience whenever they like. The feature is available on both Android and iOS versions of the app.
Clubhouse has also opened up a Bug Bounty program for the public.The bounties range from $100 to $3000. Clubhouse has partnered with HackerOne for this program, which also includes a Safe Harbor Clause, wherein the security researchers are protected from legal repercussions. The interested hackers can participate from the Hacker One website.
