Choice Sets July SoCal Debut for First Everhome Suites

Choice Hotels expects its first Everhome Suites, the company’s latest entry into the midprice extended-stay category, to debut around July 1 in Corona, Calif., company officials told BTN. Nine more Everhome Suites properties in Southern California are expected to follow.

First announced in 2020 and developed at the behest of a development partner, all Everhome Suites properties will be new builds, according to the company. Choice Hotels president and CEO Pat Pacious during a recent earnings call said, “The appeal for [Everhome Suites] in the development community continues to grow with 16 domestic franchise agreements awarded last year and a significantly higher number of contracts expected for 2022.”

Key features in the Everhome design include studio and one-bedroom apartment-style layouts with defined functionality. Work areas include rolling, variable-height workstations, full-size kitchen appliances and blenders, crockpots and electric tabletop grills. There will be Wi-Fi with premium tiers and full closet and other storage amenities. Everhome Suites also will be pet-friendly, to perhaps appeal to the 51 percent of remote workers who adopted a pet while sheltering in place.
