CES 2022: Samsung unveils 2022 lineup with Micro LED, Neo QLED TVs with significant improvements and features – Times of India

Ahead of CES 2022, Samsung has unveiled its new range of TVs. The 2022 TV lineup from the company claims to bring significant upgrades both in terms of viewing quality and features and along with add on bonuses.
For starters, the Micro LED TVs from the company now feature 25 million micrometre-sized LEDs that claim to produce enhanced light and colours and contrast levels for an overall immersive experience.
Samsung will be announcing the Micro LED TVs in three screen sizes — 110-inch, 101-inch and 89-inch.
The Micro LED models now support 20-bit grayscale depth, with over 1 million steps of brightness and colour levels and 100% DCI and Adobe RGB colour gamut. 99% screen-to-body ratio.
Micro LED comes packed with enhanced usability and customisation features. This includes Art Mode, a Multi-View feature that allows users to view content from four different sources simultaneously at 4K resolution at up to 120Hz.
The TVs also come with Dolby Atmos with top, side and bottom channel speakers for multi-dimensional sound.
Another major announcement is the updated Neo QLED TV lineup. Samsung says that the new lineup is the world’s first TVs to offer 4K and 8K 144Hz refresh rate panels. Even modern and advanced PCs can face a tough time pushing that much refresh rate, but it definitely makes the TVs future proof.
The new Neo QLED TVs also claim to bring significant improvements in visual quality irrespective of the source. The TVs now feature 14-bit backlit instead of 12-bit on the previous models to offer more precise brightness and colours.
Technologically, these TVs feature new Shape Adaptive Light Control to improve the quality and AI-driven Object Depth Enhancer.
Apart from that, all the TVs will feature a new home screen for better usability and brings an all-new ambient screen when idle.
The company has also added a new Gaming Hub along with a Game Bar, that can directly access the console and cloud-based games and optimise them accordingly. Other features include Watch Together and NFT support.
Other TV lineups from the company have also received their share of upgrades. For instance, The Frame TVs now offer a better and more realistic viewing experience with the addition of anti-glare, low-reflection and anti-fingerprint technology.
The Sherif and Sero TVs will also get the new Matte Display and a more optimised viewing experience. The Sero also features vertical Multi-View mode.
Samsung hasn’t revealed pricing and availability details about the 2022 lineup of TVs. The company will showcase all the TVs at CES 2022.
