Bigg Boss 15: Vidhi Pandya and Donal Bisht’s double eviction may have left everyone shocked but the two contestants say they are happy. Here is why

If no elimination on the weekend was a sigh of relief for the contestants in the Bigg Boss house, the mid-week double eviction has been a huge shock for everyone. TV actresses Vidhi Pandya and Donal Bisht are no longer a part of Bigg Boss 15. In last night’s episode, the two were eliminated as the housemates voted them out. In an exclusive interview with The Tribune, the two share their journey on Bigg Boss 15 and what it feels like to be out of the house within three weeks of the show.

When the Bigg Boss asked the 15 contestants to name two people who didn’t contribute much to the game, Donal says she somewhere knew they would vote against her while Vidhi feels there were others who underperformed but weren’t called out.

Talking about her eviction Donal says, “I was smiling when these guys took my name because I knew, whatever good I may do but they want me to go as they were afraid of me. They didn’t want me to make a fanbase and had I stayed longer, my fanbase would have increased. I am good person at heart and people can see that.”

Quoting a fight about kitchen duties with Tejasswi Prakash, Donal adds, “People understood that what Tejasswi said was a trust issue that was turned into an issue of chapatis.”

For Vidhi, it did come too soon but she is content with the outcome. “I didn’t think I would be out so soon, at the same time I knew from the beginning that I won’t be able to last very long inside the house. In my head, I thought maybe I would get to stick around at least for six to eight weeks. I observed that there were people who were contributing even lesser than me, my performance was definitely better than them but nevertheless, I am a believer in destiny. I got what was planned for me.”

Both Donal and Vidhi are overwhelmed with the love that they are getting from people. Donal says, “When I came out, I saw people loving me. There were a lot of hashtags going around. I was amazed by the response that people had, how they are loving me. They saw that I am a strong person, who was being suppressed by the contestants inside the house. The co-inmates were not letting me grow. But even if the contestants were against me, the world was with me and I got to know this once I came out.”

Vidhi says she is touched by the way people have rooted for her. “I was a great experience to be in the Bigg Boss house. It was really different but a lot of fun, something I’ve not experienced in my life before. Not very largely, but it has brought a change in my career too because the amount of love that I am receiving for who I am, that too in such a short span of time, it has taken me by surprise. I had thought that I was there for barely a little over two weeks so people wouldn’t have even understood who I am but now when I am out, their love is inexplicable.”

The incident that really shook Vidhi was when she was bathing and Pratik Sehajpal unscrewed the latch of the bathroom door. That has been the weirdest thing which she still can’t comprehend. “My reaction was loud and clear and I am sure anyone would have a similar reaction. I was beyond shocked. The entire house supported me, including Salman sir. I am glad people understand the gravity of the situation. Pratik can’t always get away by saying his intentions were not wrong. Your actions matter. I don’t think he realises but he is aggressive about the game, his actions and thought process is really weird, when it comes to the game, he can go to any extent. He said he would do the same thing had it been his mom or sister in the bathroom.”

On the other hand, Donal feels she was always targeted by the housemates because, “They knew I am a strong and confident girl but they tried to show me in wrong light. They said I am arrogant because they were getting intimidated by me. I had my opinions but people inside the house were trying to suppress me, break me down. Vishal, Jai and Tejasswi were doing a lot of manipulation to evict me and Afsana Khan had already told me that.”

Since the two are now out, when asked who they think are the top contenders, Vidhi says, “I think Jai (Bhanushali), Karan (Kundrra) and Umar (Riaz) are the most honest and real people. They do not pretend to entertain, they are who they are and I hope one of them wins.”

According to Donal, the one who should lift the trophy should be among these five persons. “Nishant (Bhat), Pratik (Sehajpal), Afsana (Khan) and Karan (Kundraa) are all deserving. They are people with good hearts. It’s Tejasswi and Vishal (Kotian) who are very toxic and manipulative and Jai always downgraded me, so they shouldn’t win.”
