Applications invited from employed candidates for Territorial Army Officer post

Territorial Army has invited applications from employed candidates for officer post the registration of which will begin on July 20. The application forms will be available on jointerritorialarmy.gov.in till August 19. Graduates between 18-42 years of age are eligible for this post.

“Applications are invited from gainfully employed young citizens for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the nation as Territorial Army Officers (Non Departmental), based on the concept of enabling motivated young citizens to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions. You can serve the nation in two capacities – as a civilian and as a soldier. No other option allows you such an expanse of experiences,” the territorial army has said.

“Serving member of the Regular Army/ Navy/ Air Force/ Police/ GREF/ Para Military and like forces are not eligible,” it has added.

A written exam will be held on September 26 for selection to the interview board for territorial army commission.

After selection, candidates will undergo one month basic training in the first year of commission and two months annual training camp every year including the first year. There will also be three months Post Commissioning training within first two years at OTA, Chennai.
