Apple rolls out new iOS 15.2 beta update: Everything you need to know – Times of India

Apple has started to roll out the fourth beta update of the upcoming iOS 15.2 to public testers. The update comes two weeks after the company released the iOS 15.2 beta 3. The latest update is available to all developers and public testers via over-the-air update in the iPhone’s Settings app. If you are enrolled in the beta program, you can check if you received the update by going into Settings > General > Software Update. The build number of iOS 15.2 beta 4 is 19C5050b. If you have received the update you can install it in your phone from the same page. Keep in the mind that the update does not immediately appear for download for every user.
Unveiled at WWDC in June, iOS 15 brings in notable features to iPhones but few features were missing when the company released the update for eligible iPhone models a couple of months ago. A few of those missing features such as Communication Safety, Hide My Email, Legacy Contacts, App Privacy Report and others were added with the iOS 15.2 beta but the users still haven’t received all the promised features.
The iOS 15.2 beta also includes Apple’s promised camera feature for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max — the Macro Mode toggle. The feature on the latest iPhone Pros allows users to capture extreme closeup shots of smaller things using the ultra-wide lens of the smartphone. Previously, the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max used to automatically switch to Macro Mode when brought within 10cm of any object. With iOS 15.2, the smartphones get a dedicated Macro Mode toggle within the camera settings and users can head to Settings -> Camera -> Auto Macro Mode and enable or disable the automatic macro mode switching while shooting.
With the latest iOS update, Apple is also releasing iPadOS 15.2 beta 4 along with betas of watchOS 8.3 and tvOS 15.2.
