Sony recently confirmed via an official Twitter post that PlayStation 5 owners will be able to pair their PS5 DualSense wireless controller to Android 12 devices. The feature has been there for Apple iPads and iPhones for a while now. However, Sony is finally bringing DualSense support for Android devices with Android 12.
In addition to announcing the Android 12 support, the updated Remote Play app for Android 12 will bring a host of DualSense features to the app. The new feature includes motion sensor, rumble effect, battery indicator and touchpad.
The Remote Play app allows users to play PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 games on smartphones, laptops, Mac or PC. It can also be another PlayStation console.
The all-new DualSense controller brought some new features that includes new haptic feedback, microphone, adaptive triggers and more. With upcoming native support for Android 12, users will be able to port all these features to their Android device via PlayStation Remote Play app.
Though there are reports that DualSense controller can be connected to smartphones running Android 11 operating system as well and it works as it should, but, with a catch. The most noticeable features such as rumble support, touchpad, LEDs etc will be missing.
