Rockstar Games may have a VR project in the works, at least according to voice actor Michael Ursu’s resume. As listed under the VR portion of the resume, an “Undisclosed Rockstar Game” appears, but it doesn’t specify what the game or project is. This comes by way of a ResetEra thread (as relayed by GamesRadar).
Rockstar is no stranger to VR. We know the company is still working on a VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for Oculus Quest. However, the listing on Ursu’s resume seems to be something completely different, and it’s not unusual for game studios to have multiple projects in development. Rockstar Games is typically very secretive, so it’s unclear when we’ll hear more about this potential VR game.
GameSpot has reached out to Rockstar for comment.
If true, this wouldn’t be the VR project Rockstar has shipped. In 2017, the company released L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files, a virtual reality version of the open-world detective game.
Elsewhere on the resume are a couple of other interesting points. One is for an “undisclosed” Borderlands project, along with an “undisclosed” game from miHoYo, the developers of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail.
Of course, Grand Theft Auto 6 is Rockstar’s priority currently. The upcoming game has yet to be officially unveiled, but many expect it will launch sometime in 2024 or 2025.
